Our In-Person Spring Session Class Update:
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, all in-person classes are on hold until further notice:
As many of you know, we have (as of now) moved into "Phase 2" of our WA State reopening plan. While this is great news for many local businesses, this doesn't automatically mean I am able to begin offering in-person classes again. As of now, I will only be offering online classes this Spring with additional "Pop-up" Outdoor classes for registered families, weather permitting. I want to briefly walk you through my reasoning for this and all of the careful considerations I need to make regarding these decisions in an effort to be completely transparent and communicative - always a high priority for me!
Only one of my studio locations is currently open - Vibe Dance Studio. The classrooms there (that I'm allowed to use) aren't big enough for the distancing required right now. I would have to cut my class sizes by more than half (25% capacity per room) but still pay the same fees/rent and financially, that makes things very difficult for me to maintain without passing the increased cost on to you all! This is something I don't want to do.
As mandated, all families and children 2 and older would need to be masked and distanced for any indoor in-person classes and while that may be easy for adults, this can be challenging for little ones. I really don’t families to be more stressed about keeping their little ones distanced and masked up rather than ENJOYING the class and getting the most fun out of the experience and to me, that somewhat defeats the purpose of my classes. I would much rather stay online right now so families can actually see my face and my expressions and not be stressed out during class. Singing indoors still poses a very high risk of transmission and with the new, more contagious variants, I feel that without adequate space, distancing and air ventilation and filtration, this is not a safe option for us at this time.
I want families to know about all the things that go into my planning and consideration for your safety and mine. I'm very hopeful that as vaccinations roll out in the coming months and the infection rate continues to goes down, I will be able to have outdoor classes this summer and in person indoor classes again by Fall!
I miss making music with my families in person very much and I look forward to the day when that can happen again, safely! But I'm UNBELIEVABLY grateful for the technology that is enabling me to reach so many families in this current climate. Our online classes are truly wonderful and I enjoy connecting with families each week, making music, dancing, singing, playing, acting silly, laughing, cuddling and LEARNING together. This screen time is not just a passive distraction. I see with my own eyes the engagement with families and receive many notes of thanks from parents about how the classes enrich their lives. I appreciate that families value this educational, fun offering and look forward to it as a part of their weekly routine. Thank you for your support and patience as we all navigate this unprecedented time together.

In-Person Class Policies
Tuition for the 10 week session is $205 per child and includes the Music Together professionally recorded CD, downloadable song code to access the online Family Music Zone, Songbook, Growth Chart, and “Music Together® Music and Your Child: a guide for parents and caregivers”.
Reduced rate of $130 per sibling of first registered child.
Infants under 10 months on the first day of class may attend for free with a registered sibling. There is no need to register your infant - bring them along for the fun!
There is absolutely no need to have any prior musical training though Parents and Caregivers are strongly encouraged to participate in class - we all join in the fun together! When your child sees you participating, they will want to join in too! Your excitement and enthusiasm in class is greatly appreciated. After all, you are your child's greatest role model!
Once registered for a Session, payment must be made online. Registration will NOT be considered complete unless payment is made upon Registration for class. Payment Plans must be approved by the Center Director and an agreement must be confirmed in writing. If payment hasn't been made by the first day of attendance, registration will be terminated and class materials will not be distributed.
No refunds will be given after the first day of the Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer Sessions. No exceptions. There is a $20 Registration Cancellation fee for any registration cancelled within the first 2 weeks of the Session start date. A full refund is available before the Session start date. Once Family Materials have been opened, a rerun for the cost of the materials is not available. A future class credit may be negotiable with permission of the Director.
We offer pro-rated for late registrations or offer make up classes for any missed classes due to late registration. Prior approval must be made with the Center Director.
Make up classes are made on a drop-in/space available basis. Sorry, no refunds for missed classes.
Make up classes may not be carried into other Sessions.
We realize that it is very temping to want to document all the fun and musical growth your child may have in every class, but we respectfully ask that you put away your phone and/or camera during class time. There will be an opportunity for a "photo" day during the last class of each 10 week Session for plenty of pictures!
Confirmations will be sent by email.
In the event of natural disaster or community crisis requiring the closure of our studio, we will make every attempt to offer make up classes, but will not refund classes that are canceled for reasons beyond our control.
